These apps make it easy for people to update their status using the GPS applications found in smartphones.

Businesses have caught on to this trend as well, making location-based and SMS marketing a strong part of their social media strategy.

Of course these social networking trends will change as time goes on but staying on top of the news and current technology is one way to make sure that you and your organization are not left behind.
