Effective email list management relies on a lot. It relies on your ability to earn the trust of people so that they’ll see you as a credible source of information, and it relies on you being able to follow a few basic rules that all reputable email marketers follow. One of those basic rules is knowing when to send email marketing messages and when not to. Sound strange? It’s not. Consider this.

The time of day that you choose to send your messages can have a lot to do with your credibility among your recipients. The reason? You certainly know that you’re using email list management software to send automated messages at certain times of day, but your recipients don’t know that. Therefore, seeing at timestamp on your marketing message that reads 3:15 on a Tuesday morning might just freak a few people out – or at very least give them the image of some guy sitting at his computer desk in the middle of the night clad in boxers, sending out email messages. Not exactly the image you want to give off? Can’t blame you.

Of course, there’s the distinct possibility that you have list subscribers all over the world. How do you address this issue when it’s always the middle of the night somewhere? Easy enough: Use an email list management program that can schedule the sending of messages by time zone. This way, you can come off more "business" and increase the chances that your email messages won’t get buried underneath the rest of the inbox load.
