Blogs and social networks are popular because they allow for immediate feedback from customers and the opportunity for a business to immediately interact with their customers. While not every business has a social media strategy in place, that shouldn’t prevent them from using web surveys to gather customer feedback.

Placing a customer survey online or in an email makes it easy for an organization to collect useful information from their community. Web surveys can provide you with feedback that can help you make better business decisions. Some of the most obvious benefits are:

  • Gather research on topics and trends. This information can be later used to draft other marketing materials, such as white papers.
  • Get feedback about what people think about your products and pricing.
  • Know what people think about your customer service.
  • Tell you how you’re doing.


However, the largest benefit to using web surveys is how easy they are to implement. Unlike blogging and other social media, all you need is the right software installed onto your web server and someone to answer the questions.
